4th ANQ Congress

The 4th Asian Network for Quality Congress 2006 was held on 27 – 29 September 2006 at Furama Riverfront Hotel, Singapore. It was an international forum for presentation of the research and development of philosophy, theory, methodology and application in the field of quality.

The theme of the congress was “Towards Total Organisation Excellence”. The event brought together quality professionals & academics from around the Asian regions to share their experiences in the field of Quality Management.

The congress program offered insights into a range of issues relating to quality, innovation and management topics. The focus of ANQ Congress 2006 was to integrate plenary lectures with forum activities which led to dialogue and debate, learning, sharing and stimulating research knowledge. The event served as a platform for participants to discuss new approaches in the area of quality management. Industrial visits, where delegates choose to visit participating organisations were conducted on the last day of the congress, 29 September 2006.

Asian Network for Quality Congress 2006 ended with a conference farewell dinner on the 28 September 2006 held at Furama Riverfront Hotel, Singapore. There were a total of eight breakout sessions held during the 2 day congress with each session receiving overwhelming responses and positive feedbacks. Singapore Quality Institute was successful in aligning the congress according to its theme, “Towards Total Organisation Excellence”. With the support from SPRING Singapore and Singapore Productivity Association, the congress was brought to greater heights which contributed to the high attendance and participation rate. We would like to express our most sincere appreciation to Mr Cedric Foo, Chairman of SPRING Singapore for being the Guest-of-Honour and delivering the opening speech at ANQ Congress 2006, Singapore. Speakers from all over the world, including Singapore, have shared their thoughts, experiences and knowledge with the delegates for greater learning. The sessions ran smoothly with speakers drawing attention and enthusiasm from the attendees fervently.
