Dear all ANQ members,As the year 2008 comes to a close, I would like to thank you all for your support duringmy tenure as a Chairperson of ANQ for the past two years.

During the past two years, ANQ has continuously developed and moved forward.Russian Organization for Quality (ROQ) was added to the board last year and Standardsand Quality Association of Thailand (SQAT) was added to the board organizations thisspring, and now the ANQ Board consists of 8 organizations. We welcomed IAQMA(International Association of Quality Managers and Auditors) from Kazakhstan as the17th new member organization to work together with the other ANQ memberorganizations last year.

This year, we had around 160 papers presented from around 400 delegates from morethan 18 countries and regions in the 6th ANQ Congress in Bangkok, Thailand. Boardmembers are trying their best to provide every one of us a better platform forcommunication and exchange.

Programs are consistently carried out, such as the ANQ Recognition for Excellence inQuality Practice (ARE-QP) Award, and Exchange Program of Young Quality Experts.Through these programs, we intend to provide various opportunities for more people toactively participate in the ANQ activities.

It has been an honor for me to serve as a Chairperson of ANQ for the past two years. Iwas trying to get more benefits for our member organizations. Thank you all for yoursupport, cooperation, and understandings.

For the next two years, ANQ would be under the leadership of Dr. Janak Mehta fromISQ. I am fully convinced that Dr. Janak Mehta will spare no effort in leading ANQ to amore promising future. All of your continuous help and support would once again begreatly appreciated.
